Rescue and Engine Assist on Accident with Entrapment

Tue, May 19th, 2020 9:40:00 am - Around 0940 Rescue 42 and Engine 421 were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment assisting Chester County Station 8 ( Keystone Valley ). Ambulance 8-2 arrived on scene and confirmed heavy entrapment and requested another rescue due to heavy entrapment. Rescue 42 made the response with 8 followed with the Engine with 6 shortly after. Rescue arrived and was directed to assist Rescue 8 with extrication of the one entrapped patient. Rescue 42 crews went to work quickly went to assist alongside Station 8's crews. Engine 42-1 arrived and was directed to set up a landing zone for Jeffstat 3 helicopter, crew then assisted with extrication. After a long technical extrication patient was removed from the vehicle. Several members from Station 42 assisted flight crews, medics, and EMS personnel with patient care. Crews assisted in loading patient into the helicopter. Station 42 cleared Chester County little over an hour later.
