Second Snow Storm Arrives
Author:Safety Officer Chris Kennedy
Tue, Feb 16th, 2010 10:00:00 am - Not out of the woods yet, says the weather forecasters as the second snow storm hits the Lancaster area. With the recent snow of 20 plus inches, more snow blanketed the area making if difficult for emergency vehicles to get to their destinations. The Gap Fire Company was available to assist on several medical calls as the snow piled up to an additional 30 inches making roads almost impossible to pass. Some of the locations included Chestnut St., Millwood Rd., Azalea Ln., Longview Ln., and Strasburg Rd. As well, it goes without saying, a vehicle accident on Rt 772. We urge everyone that needs to travel in these conditions to drive safely.
