2009 Fund Drive Now in Progress
 
Mon, Mar 8th, 2010 5:31:00 pm - The Gap Fire Company has mailed out our 2010 Fund Drive letters.  The Fire Company depends on the donations of the community for the majority of our operating expenses.  We are a non-profit volunteer organization, and all donations are tax deductible.  We also offset our operating expenses by holding fundraisers and applying for grant assistance as well. Assisting Christiana Fire Company
Wed, Mar 3rd, 2010 1:03:00 am - At 1:03am, the Gap Fire Company was alerted by the LCWC to assist Christiana Fire Company for a building fire at 48 Christiana Pike.  Chief 5-2 arrived on location and reported a vehicle well involved next to a building.  Crews from 5-2 were able to extinguish the fire shortly after arrival.  Engine 4-2-2 went available from the scene, and responded to Station 5-2 to standby.  The ...More Info and Pictures

Second Snow Storm Arrives

With the recent snow of 20 plus inches, more snow blanketed the area making if difficult for emergency vehicles to get to their destinations. Sat, Feb 6th, 2010 4:09:00 pm - As the first major snow storm fell in Lancaster County, Gap felt the punch with 23 inches of snow. At 4:09pm the LCWC dispatch Rescue 4-2 to assist public at 789 Willow Lane in the Crestwood Estate development.
